What items do I have to protect or remove prior to fumigation?
- Food (perishables, all opened cans or packages, dog food, etc.); Factory sealed cans and jars may be left in place. Or you can follow our Rule of Thumb: “When in doubt let Tent Helpers figure it out.”

- Medicines (including all oral pills, tablets, edible or potable substances)

Where will my items be stored and for how long?
All goods including plants and pets will be kept at our off-site storage facility in Doral, FL. Tent Helpers will collect your items one day prior to fumigation and deliver them back to you the same day your house/apartment is cleared by the fumigation company or on the date/time you are ready. The whole Prep N Store process typically takes 2-3 days.
How will my items be properly protected and stored?
The Tent Helpers team is equipped with special packing supplies that include:
- Nylofume bags (gas proof) to protect foods (both refrigerated and non-refrigerated) as well as medications and/or vitamins that will remain inside.
- Large cooler totes for meats, poultry, eggs, juices, bread, milk, cheeses, or whatever it is you wish to keep frozen or cold.
Once your designated items are packed up, we collect and store them off-site until after fumigation is complete. This means there is NO WASTE of food or medicine and there is NO NEED to hit the supermarket or pharmacy to restock your home!
Which Prep N Store option fits my budget?
All 3 Packages are tailored to your personal needs. However the most economic package is the Do it Yourself option that allows you to do the prepping as handle the safe storage and re-delivery of your goods.
